Cool concept, not fun to me.Ĥh 40m PlayedHot DAMN, this game is good! This game is excellent at giving off a supreme sense of "flow" when everything goes right, a zen-like state of leaping from one action to another. After trying several more times to like this, I have given it up as a game that I really don't like. I love celeste, but that does not feel tedious like this. I think its because you have to be perfect in some sections, but the sections change slightly based off of timing. I still stand by this game being tedious. Still have to clear certain areas that are very long for a reset, but playing it from a steam deck in shorter bites makes it much more fun. I can play a board or two and then put it down.

Something about the portable and quick pick up an play really made this game more fun.

I will probably eventually try this again and update the review. The graphics and story seem to be really cool. You just keep resetting over and over until you happen to do a scene perfect. The quick reset on death can be tedious because you end up having to do perfect runs. 8.9/10Ĥh 48m ProgressI played a little bit and felt bored. I will definitely look into potential DLC or a sequel. Fun combat, cool music, and a surprisingly dark story combine to make an awesome combination. Overall, Katana ZERO is just a fantastic game. The options actually changed some things, and made conversation much more engaging. I really liked the dialogue in the game too. The conclusion of that was not at all what I expected. The constant dream in 0's head about the floating house was also excellently done. Everything with the little girl and the "reveal" at the end as to whether she truly exists or not is very well done as well. He can't remember his past, he's being used for murder, he doesn't know what is real and what isn't, and he has nobody on his side. It was far deeper than I thought it would be, and it is a great tale of a broken man. Everything served a unique purpose and it all blended together very well. The variety of weapons was awesome, I loved using the sticky grenades and the smoke bomb. But the game slowly introduced several new mechanics, as well as interesting ways to use mechanics the player already had. It started out very simple, and really was never too complex. The gameplay was much deeper than I originally thought, the soundtrack was awesome, and the story blew me away. It was sitting at 97 per cent positive reviews on Steam at the time of writing, which speaks volumes of the game's quality and appeal, both of which left little to nothing to stand in the way of good sales.6h 30m PlayedKatana ZERO was not at all what I was expecting. The game has seen its share of controversy, with Australian boards not approving it for the region, most likely due to drug usage by the protagonist but that hasn't stopped the work of one man, published by Devolver Digital, to sell like hotcakes. It was released on 18 April 2019 and has been garnering praise all over the place. Katana Zero is another point of interest. Mordhau is particularly impressive since the game sold enough copies in two days to make the top 20. Some of the latest releases on the list are Mortal Kombat 11, which came out on 23 April 2019 and Mordhau that was released on 29 April 2019. Such was the case with top sellers in April 2019 where they simply sorted the games by release date, which is still a bit of an indication.įor example, the titles that released close to the end of the month and still managed to make the list probably sold better than those that were released early in April, since the latter had a longer time to sell enough copies to get into top 20. Valve are usually hesitant to reveal which games sold the best on Steam, regardless of the type of the list they provide.
